Grounded Partners, LLC works closely with Horses Makes Miracles (HMM),

which is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing equine-assisted activities and therapy to individuals of all ages.  https://horsesmakemiracles.org/

I would not be able to do the work I do without HMM

or my four beautiful equine friends who are introduced below.

Thank you, HMM!

Tony

Thoroughbred, 29 years old

16.1 hands tall

Tony came to Horses Make Miracles (HMM) from a thoroughbred farm in Strasburg, CO where many race horses living there were born and bred on the ranch. He needed a good home and care as he was under weight and had been recently moved from a race track that had gone out of business due to the pandemic. He’s a big tall dark bay guy with a past in thoroughbred racing in southwest Texas standing at 16.1 hands and he is in his late twenties. Tony is extremely sweet and he loves people. This wonderful horse who deserved a happy life arrived at the HMM barn in late November of 2020 and has slowly but surely gained weight and is now in good health. Tony excels when he engages in equine-assisted therapy work.  He is a talented healer and loves helping people in this way.  Tony is owned by my fellow healer and friend, Trista Zimmerman.

Sir Robert aka "Bob"

Black Quarter Horse, 27 years old
14.1 hands tall

This kind and handsome little black horse came to Horses Make Miracles (HMM) in April of 2020 along with his equine friend Charlotte and was happily adopted from Believe Ranch and Rescue in Longmont, CO. His noble and stately disposition prompted the name Sir Robert.  "Bob" stands at 14.1 hands, is in his late twenties and his gentle manner as well as his patience has proven he’s a sweet and wonderful partner for both therapy and horsemanship endeavors. He enjoys his job as a therapy horse in both groups and one-on-one interactions with his human counterparts. Once you spend time with Bob, you've got a friend for life! Bob is now owned by my fellow healer and friend, Trista Zimmerman.

    Charlotte

Quarter Horse cross mare, 12 years old

Bright bay with a hefty build

    Lovely long mane and forelock

    14.3 hands tall

Charlotte was adopted in the spring of 2020 at 8 years old and is a wonderfully cherished addition to the Horses Make Miracles herd. She had been rescued from auction by the dedicated folks at Believe Ranch and Rescue of Longmont, CO in the late fall of 2019. She’s the friendliest and sweetest horse imaginable and absolutely loves everybody; humans and equines alike. We were told that she had been trained to pull a cart when she was younger. Charlotte is always eager to please whatever human works with her and excels in everything she does whether mounted or working with groups in un-mounted classes. She’s one in a million for sure. Charlotte is is now owned by my fellow healer and friend, Trista Zimmerman.

    Never Forgotten
    Dakota

    Elder of the Herd

Charcoal Grey Appaloosa, 41 years old

    15.3 hands tall

Dakota was a wonderful and dedicated equine partner since 2008 when he was donated by a dear friend and supporter of Horses Make Miracle's work. He came from Elizabeth, CO and had been a working ranch horse all his life. He was an extremely handsome charcoal grey Appaloosa gelding: a big, friendly, gentle fellow standing at 15.3 hands. Dakota was the respected elder of Horses Make Miracles' herd and passed over at 41 years young. When he was with people, Dakota loved all the human interaction and all of the attention he got! Being retired, he was no longer ridden; instead, he took his sweet time at turn out eating all of the lovely clover on the way to the pasture. He truly was a faithful, loving and giving friend to all who knew him for the extraordinary special horse he was. Dakota was owned by the founder of HMM, Linda Raulino.
