Meet the Herd
Grounded Partners, LLC works closely with Horses Makes Miracles (HMM), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing
equine-facilitated activities and therapy to individuals of all ages. I would not be able to do the work I do without HMM
or our beautiful equine and goat herds who are all introduced below.

Equine Herd
Manitou Bawaajigan
Thoroughbred / Warmblood
Approximately 10-13 years old
16.4 hands tall​
Manitou Bawaajigan found us in mid-March 2026. His former life was spent abused as a professional sport horse.
At HMM, Manitou is learning his true self and is in the beginning stages of being comfortable in his own goofy, fun playfulness...and genuine love.
He loves attention and willingly gives it as well.
Manitou's Earth Guardian, Trista Zimmerman, spent every day twice a day with her amazing 'Spirit Horse' giving him the care he needed when he arrived from one of the kill pens out east. Manitou found Trista at the pen and the rest is history!
We look forward to see how our kind and gentle giant gets acclimated and gets to truly live his life!
Magick Mocha
Miniature Horse (Mini)
Approximately 20 years old
38 inches tall
Little Mo came to us from Harmony Equine Center in March 2026. We estimate his age at 20 years old. He is a shy guy, and he came to us shortly before Bob crossed the rainbow bridge. Mocha bonded with Bob immediately, so he is missing his pal.
Mocha is very receptive to walks and attention while on lead. He LOVES to graze with the herd and gets along with everyone.
Mocha is getting used to being in his forever home, so we are respecting his space and choices while we spend quality time with him.
Mocha's Earth Guardian is Sarah Loberg, my forever friend and sweet siSTAR.
Charolette
Quarter Horse Cross
Approximately 14 years old
14.3 hands tall
Charolette was adopted in the spring of 2020 at 8 years old and is a wonderfully cherished addition to the Horses Make Miracles herd. She had been rescued from auction by the dedicated folks at Believe Ranch and Rescue of Longmont, CO in the late fall of 2019.
Charolette looks for strong leadership and will connect with you when you can stand in your authentic self, no matter what that means. Charolette wants to be understood on a deep level, probably just like you do!
Char has been through some health issues over the years we have cared for her but recently scored a "5" from our vet team! Nice going, Char!
Charolette's Earth Guardian is my fellow healer and friend, Trista Zimmerman.
Sailor
American Paint Horse
Approximately 18 years old
15.2 hands tall​
Sailor came to HMM in December 2024. She has come such a long way since her arrival! Sailor is loving getting used to living in her forever home and has been through lots of physical, emotional and spiritual changes throughout the past 18 months.
Sailor spends her days with Char in the pasture, sometimes hanging around over the fence with the neighboring geldings!
Mostly, Sailor spends time with her Earth Guardian, Lina, who spoils her rotten with massages and fabulous grooming sessions.

Primrose
"Prim"
Blue Roan
7 years old
Primrose found HMM in June 2026 with help from her loving Earth Guardian, Lauren.
Interestingly, Prim lived at the Sunshine Ranch before HMM came along! Prim's guardian gave her a second chance in this realm by joining forces with HMM.
Prim is already showing us how much she loves to engage in therapy and connect with people!

Never Forgotten
Anthony Woodard "Tony"
Thoroughbred, 29 years old
16.1 hands tall​
When Tony came to Horses Make Miracles (HMM), he had already given everything the racetrack demanded. He was an "off-the-track Thoroughbred" who eventually ended up in a hoarding situation.
Through years of rehabilitation, patience and unending love from his Earth Guardian, Trista Zimmerman, and the entire barn team at HMM, Tony learned to trust humans on a very deep level and gave his love freely to all. He became our inspiration, reminding us that healing is possible even after profound hardship.
Tony was 30 years young when he crossed the rainbow bridge and joined the Horse Ancestors under the second full moon of the year in February 2026.
Tony, your presence was majestic.
We miss your sweet face around here.
Run free, Baby!
Sir Robert aka "Bob"
Black Quarter Horse, 29 years old
14.1 hands tall
This kind and handsome little black horse came to Horses Make Miracles (HMM) in April of 2020 along with his equine friend Charolette and was happily adopted from Believe Ranch and Rescue in Longmont, CO. His noble and stately disposition prompted the name Sir Robert.
Bob's gentle manner as well as his patience made him a wonderful therapy partner. He enjoyed his job as a therapy horse and made many lasting friendships with clients and barn staff alike.
Bob was my forever equine friend, and although he is now running free with the Ancestor Herd, we still feel his spirit in the wind at the Sunshine Ranch.
You are truly missed, Buddy.

Dakota
Elder of the Herd
Charcoal Grey Appaloosa, 41 years old
15.3 hands tall
Dakota was a wonderful and dedicated equine partner since 2008 when he was donated by a dear friend and supporter of Horses Make Miracle's work. He came from Elizabeth, CO and had been a working ranch horse all his life. He was an extremely handsome charcoal grey Appaloosa gelding: a big, friendly, gentle fellow standing at 15.3 hands. Dakota was the respected elder of Horses Make Miracles' herd and crossed the rainbow bridge after 41 years in this realm. When he was with people, Dakota loved all the human interaction and all of the attention he got! Being retired, he was no longer ridden; instead, he took his sweet time at turn out eating all of the lovely clover on the way to the pasture. He truly was a faithful, loving and giving friend to all who knew him for the extraordinary special horse he was. Dakota's Earth Guardian was the founder of HMM, Linda Raulino.
